Well, he's actually very good. He won me over more quickly than Christopher Eccleston did. I know that in David Tennant I'm seeing the Doctor played by someone from my own generation for the first time, who grew up with Tom Baker; and the camera angles, as chosen by Euros Lyn, emphasised this fact, with David's eye-popping reminding me of one of the much-used photographs taken during the 'Do I have the right?' scene from 'Genesis of the Daleks'.
Not sure about the 'regeneration is failing', though - reminds me too much of the overindulgence of the first two episodes of 'Castrovalva' and all of 'The Twin Dilemma'.
The title sequence has been reengineered impressively, too.
I've also just learned that the season one box set has been despatched this evening. I expect it on Monday for DSoc.
