Verity Lambert 1935-2007

I've just heard that Verity Lambert, the first producer of Doctor Who, died last night. Without her dedication to the series over its first two years it's doubtful that the programme would have touched the public in the way it did or lasted as long as it has. Sad news for the forty-fourth anniversary.
