Survivors is coming back! (Barring accidents)

I know this was rumoured in the press last year or the year before, but the BBC have issued a press release today confirming that a new series is in development.

That biography of Nation at the foot of the press release is badly phrased, of course - it suggests to me that Nation wrote half the episodes of the first series of Doctor Who, whereas the series they are talking about is Survivors.
