Despite my current semi-employed state, I am continuing to spend money. I've just bid for something on eBay that is unusual and I'm quite keen to have; more details when bidding ends. More productively, I went into the opticians in Woodstock today and finally booked myself an eye test for next week. I've wanted to break away from the large chains for a while and the Woodstock optician is part of a smaller group.
Otherwise I've had a quiet few days. I visited TGW in an attempt to copy my letters, rewrites, extra paragraphs from the system (successful) and then my e-mails from Outlook (seemingly not successful; despite the files copying and the same version of Outlook running on my office PC and this one, the mail can't be read). I had a meeting yesterday to sort out my literary work, and I'm waiting for my student to get in touch with me so I can meet her and give her her first essay. There's also been a DSoc committee meeting, which was curiously uplifting despite my having been involved for far too long, and I've sold my soul to Freshers' Fair for a day tomorrow.
Now, more tidying and maybe catch up on DVD-watching; like book-reading, there is a backlog.
