So - back at work, and two days into the job the whole computer system is shut down for a major upgrade. This will be a good thing in the medium term - our IT people are an informed lot, and my idle moments will be enhanced by the replacement of Netscape 4 (or a badly calibrated IE5) with Mozilla Firebird for web surfing. However, in the short term it means I'm shut out of the work that I'm doing on the office system, and will have to write up anything that I do tomorrow in longhand or come back here to type it up. Not that this should be a problem, but I'm just so used to typing things in on a screen these days.

Also, I slept in this morning and didn't reach the office until 10.30 - only marginally later than yesterday when I was late deliberately. The sleeping in followed a nightmare where I was trapped in a ghastly guided tour of the Queen Mary 2, and where my personal relationship situation was a mess. Waking up was welcome, the time on the clock not so.
