Auto-deletion of comments?

I've had a couple of comments on my last post which have appeared in my inbox and which haven't appeared on the journal - when I reply, I'm told that the comments have been deleted, which seems awfully quick. If you have deleted comments you made on the last post, let me know; comments here will be screened.
