I was finally paid yesterday for one of the many fragments of paid research I've managed to do since leaving TGW. This would have been better if the sum had exceeded that contained the bill which I have just paid. Ah, well. There's still enough of the redundancy left to get me through Christmas and into January. After that, well... I'll just have to make myself work more hours, and will build on the start I've made this week by taking some of the TGW freelance work back with me to my parents' for Christmas. Maybe I could even learn to budget in a more sophisticated manner than denial/splurge.
I'd expected to be cooking for my sister tonight, as she was planning to come to Woodstock today and then be driven up to Newcastle by me. However, this isn't happening as she had too much to carry, and instead I'm travelling to London and collecting her before driving north. This will not be all that stressful, as it's a while since I've driven the southern stretch of the M1 - the widening works were just starting when I last drove there - and my sister will be behind the wheel some of the way as well.
As to when I actually set off for London - I'm not yet packed at all, of course, there is a timesheet to fill in for TOGW, and I need to undertake some complicated VCR arranging.
