Those readers who have been calling in over the last few hours might have observed a few changes here and there, as I've moved to the 3-column style and then experimented with a few elements. I think the colourscheme is working well now, and looks attractive without overwhelming the content.

Again, I should have spent the evening either doing teaching preparation or Tides, but instead watched several episodes of season three of The West Wing, which I've had on DVD for ages now and watched little of. I've started to watch season six on More4, having missed season five as it was shown on E4 when that was subscription-only; of the post-Sorkin writers I think the best is Deborah Cahn, though that's only on the basis of having seen the first fifteen minutes of 'Lift Off'.
