Happy New Year everybody. No long post from me as Mum, Dad and sister, having been up late last night at family friends', are now preparing lunch for aunt, uncle, uncle's brother, cousin, cousin's husband, cousin's children, and possibly aunt and uncle's dog and cousin's dog too. I should get ready and join them.
They've gone - I'm worn out! It was good to see the children again, but it's so tiring being with them. My goddaughter (whom I'll call Maire) is extremely articulate for her twenty-two months, and remembered my name, which was nice. Her brother, Donnchadh (nearly four), enjoyed several rounds of duelling with a sword - the old SocA sword Sir Percivale left with me when he moved to Japan saw more use than it had seen for at least seven years.
