Too much chocolate and coffee

pennypaperbrain would probably query the first part of this heading. I've developed a mild addiction to Fair Trade plain chocolate. At work, I steal down the road to the Oxfam Bookshop to buy some, perhaps every other day. Yesterday, I bought a 500g bar at the Co-Op, which is now gone. It's a great accompaniment to real coffee; except they are both full of caffeine and goodness knows what else.

I'm within sight of the finishing line on the DSoc magazine; they elected me editor formally today, which was nice. I gave a thank you speech noting that my resignation from the committee eleven years ago was finally confirmed as a failure.

Strange event of the day; a pheasant flew through my neighbour's window at about 10am, shattering the glass. I had a lucky escape, as had the pheasant's trajectory been a few metres to the right, it would be my window that needed to be replaced.
