Easter aproaches, so I'm returning to my ancestral seat tomorrow for a week. I'm not near packing, however - I have to finish writing up some research I've been doing for a colleague in Australia, and write some e-mails relating to a day trip I might be organizing for SocT.
I've just realised that I've missed another episode of The Alan Clark Diaries on BBC 2 - another programme on the DVD purchase list, methinks.
Speaking of which, I had ordered a volume of Upstairs, Downstairs, which my mother is watching, last week; it should have arrived by now, but has been held up by the current Oxford postal strike. We're only getting a couple of handfuls of post in the office at the moment, when we should be getting at least five times that. I wish management and unions could sort out their differences there - there have been five strikes in the last six months, says the BBC's regional news, but this is by far the longest.
