Lonestalk and the Crow: A poem after midnight

Green guards Lonestalk the still soar,
Raked the rock rooting close cloud.
Cries crow, lost, long scar seen;
Stretched the sky for Lonestalk,
Landed, drank deep length of leaves,
Stung on spines.
                                Brisk roves the bird,
Flown friendship lest love spears.
Lonestalk soars still, fog fading,
Blooms late and red in room of gowks gone.
